Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why should I book with Brinn Marie Photography?

This business isn’t just another source of income. This is my passion. I take great pride in the work I produce. It’s so fulfilling for me to create a fun, stress free session for you to enjoy & have pictures to remember that time in your life. I love working with children & making them laugh! It’s my goal to make each of them laugh & play instead of creating a negative association with getting pictures taken. When you book with me, you get a dedicated friend that will work with you, not against you, to make your pictures beautiful & memorable.

Q: How do I schedule my session?

The best way to schedule with me is to send me an email! My schedule changes frequently, so I don’t have the option to do it online yet.

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of my session?

Don’t stress! I do my best to keep an eye on the weather. Because it can change so quickly, I wait until the hour before the session to decide if we need to reschedule. I don’t charge a rescheduling fee if the weather doesn’t cooperate! Just keep in constant contact with me & we will work it out.

Q: When will my pictures be finished?

My general completion time is 3-4 weeks. However, this can change depending on the season. Some seasons are busier than others & I need more time to complete each session. I do my best to keep you updated & will notify you as soon as they are done.

Q: How will I receive my pictures?

All images are delivered through an online gallery only you can access. It requires a password provided only to you. From there, you can download to your phone, laptop etc to print anywhere you need.

Q: Where should I get pictures taken?

This depends on many things! The first thing you should ask yourself is, do you want an urban or outdoorsy feel? Second, what do you want in your background? Third, what are you planning on wearing? Will it be more casual, or formal? All of these things help me decipher where your group will look best at your location!

Q: What should we wear?

I’m more than happy to help advise on outfits for you! Based on my editing, I recommend the following:

- Keep away from bright red/orange. These colors will reflect & make your face seem flushed or tinted. Keep them as a small accent, preferably away from your face.

- You can never go wrong with neutrals! White, tan, black, brown, even blue compliment all skin tones.

- Choose a color scheme that is opposite of your location. For example, if you are taking pictures on a green hill, stay away from green! That way you won’t blend in with the background. You’ll stay as the focal point of every image.

Still not sure? I’ll work with you to help you decide what will be most flattering for your photos.
